Richard Pullar Biography
For over 20 years Richard has been shooting Ad campaigns, mainly with London based agencies, many of which have run around the globe. Working across multiple areas from food to still life to portraiture his work has a graphic intensity combined with beautiful lighting and quite often a quirky sense of humour.
Based in his Victorian, ex school and prison, Clerkenwell studio in the heart of London for the past 10 years Richard has been applying his talents to the world of food. Bringing his lighting, eye for detail and humour to his images has kept him busy with an ever growing set of clients.
Richard's iconic work with Pret’s can often be seen from New York to London and Paris. His posters of Lions, Peacocks, Fish etc. stand out in busy cluttered high streets, graphic, fun and all made from food!
Richard now is as likely to be on location with clients such as Dominos as he is to be in his studio. And with clients such as McDonalds he’s as likely to be in an airport as the demand for his talents spreads from country to country.
As well as shooting food Richard continues to be busy creating images of people. Posters for the Poppy appeal, banks and the Government have all graced our high streets over the past few years. He also works extensively within pharmaceuticals and with medical charities which has him traveling internationally working with clients, medical staff and of course patients.
Over the past 5 years Richards talents have been in demand in the world of Commercials directing. His show reel includes films for Dominos, Bathstore, Grants Whiskey, Knorr and Pret’s. Many of his stills clients now like to use his filming abilities to create moving content to complement their stills shoots.
Richard is also constantly shooting personal projects, sometimes in his studio and often during his travels. All his personal work, projects and show reel can be seen on his web site at;
